On the day

This year, we will be posting your rider number and map to you in advance so we can stay contactless on the day, please bring them with you!

We recommended you also pack the following:

  • Two drink bottles
  • An energy bar or similar snack
  • Tools to replace inner tubes and minor problems
  • Suitable wet weather clothing
  • Fully charged mobile phone
  • Hand sanitiser and face mask
  • ID and a small amount of money
  • Route map and rider number

Please note there is very limited parking for the Tour this year, due to the Nightingale Hospital still being on site at UWE. Cycle or get dropped off where you can, or park in nearby residential areas. Any parking available will be offered nearer the time to book in advance on a first come first served basis.

Being COVID-secure

Here’s a bit more about how we’ve made it COVID secure:

  • We're spreading the event out across two days - Saturday and Sunday - to give everyone more space.
  • All distances will be available on Saturday, and the 65k and 100k routes will be available Sunday.
  • There is a limited number of spaces for each route and each day.
  • Start times are staggered with only 20 people setting off at a time, so choose your start time when signing up. Please only arrive on site 10 minutes before your start time.
  • Our feed stations will be contactless
  • We will be asking you to only cycle in small groups, following the local guidance at the time of the event. This may be the rule of 6, or a limit on households.
  • Join the Tour de Bristol: Your Ride and take part remotely, creating your own route from home wherever you are across the UK and we'll be cheering you on all the way
