Volunteer for your DofE Award

What is DofE?

The Duke of Edinburgh's (DofE) Award is a personal development programme for young people. Their mission is to inspire, guide and support young people in their self-development and recognise their achievements.

How does DofE work?

Any young person aged 14 to 24 can do their DofE Award. A DofE programme consists of structured and diverse activities, undertaken over an extended period of time, that lead to a Bronze, Silver or Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award.

Are you working towards your DofE Award?

We can help you achieve the volunteering section of your Bronze, Silver or Gold Award.

Volunteer through fundraising

Fundraising for St Peter's Hospice is a great way to complete the volunteering section of your DofE. There are lots of ways you can raise funds for the Hospice but if you're stuck for ideas then check out our A-Z Fundraising Guide to help you out.

If you'd like to fundraise for the Hospice or if you have any questions, please contact the Community Fundraising Team on community@stpetershospice.org

Volunteer in our shops

There may also be opportunities to volunteer in some of our shops. We request a minimum of 2 hours a week, usually at the weekend. If shop volunteering interests you please visit your local shop for a chat with the Shop Manager.

Please note, not all of our shops are able to offer DofE opportunities and those that do, quickly fill the slots they have available. If your local shop can't provide a placement please consider approaching another nearby. For those that are currently full, there may be further opportunities later in the academic year.
