In memory of Rocco Anthony Simpson, he was born in Rochdale in 1951, The first child of Kenneth and Philomena Simpson, he was the eldest of 7 children, he was very protective of his siblings always making sure we were ok, he moved to Bristol with the family when he was 8 years old. He married and had 2 beautiful daughters, Clelia & Antonella. He moved to Clifton in Bristol and lived there for many years, until he became ill, then he wanted to move back home with his mum, to be near his family for the last weeks of his life. He was very clever, a great business man, he had a great personality always had the ability to make people laugh even when he was suffering. The nurses from St Peters hospice went above and beyond to help us care for him in his final days at home, we will be forever grateful to them. A lovely Son, Brother, Dad and Grandad, Rocco passed away peacefully a year ago today on Wednesday 20 January 2021 surrounded by us, his family. We can't believe a year has passed already.
