During Mary's final years of life, she spent a memorable period of time in respite at a St Peter's Hospice facility. She was so impressed by the care and support she received while she was there, she singled out St Peter's for any contribution that would be possible from a collection at her funeral. In addition, she wanted any of her remaining furniture and chattels to be donated to St Peter's for the organisation to use the funds arising from sales. Her wishes have been met and it is hoped that these contributions will assist St Peter's to do more of the outstanding work they do.
