Bernard Brain was Headteacher of St Teresa's Catholic Primary School in Bristol from 1995 to 2009 when he retired. He had a long and successful career in Catholic education which included several headships. He was the kindest of men and will be greatly missed by his family, friends, ex-colleagues and fellow supporters of Bristol Rovers FC and Gloucestershire CCC. Bernard and his family were exceedingly grateful for the support received from St Peter's Hospice during his illness.
We just came across this sad news about Mr Brain today. We are so sorry and would like to send our sincere condolences to his family. My children were at St Johns R C school Brentford. My two eldest daughters were taught by him. Mr Brain was a very good teacher and very well liked. Margaret and the Harrison Family, BRENTFORD - 15-09-2024
I was a pupil of Mr Brain's in 1980/81, at Sacred Heart RC Primary School in Ruislip. He was my year 6 teacher. Sad to hear of his passing, may he rest in peace.
