Bernard Brain was Headteacher of St Teresa's Catholic Primary School in Bristol from 1995 to 2009 when he retired. He had a long and successful career in Catholic education which included several headships. He was the kindest of men and will be greatly missed by his family, friends, ex-colleagues and fellow supporters of Bristol Rovers FC and Gloucestershire CCC. Bernard and his family were exceedingly grateful for the support received from St Peter's Hospice during his illness.
I was a pupil of Mr Brain's in 1980/81, at Sacred Heart RC Primary School in Ruislip. He was my year 6 teacher. Sad to hear of his passing, may he rest in peace.
