For young people who have lost a loved one who was cared for by St Peter's Hospice
There are two separate bereavement groups, one for children in school years 1-6 (KS1 & KS2, ages 5-11) and one for young people in school years 7-11 (KS3-KS4, ages 12-17). The groups will be facilitated by a therapist and two volunteers using creative approaches to allow a gentle and informal feel to session. The intention of each session will be to promote identification and support between young people within the context of a safe space.
The groups will run on the following dates (please arrive in the café area for a 4pm start):
School years 1-6 (1hr session)
- 29 November, 4pm-5pm
- 27 December, 4pm-5pm
- 24 January, 4pm-5pm
- 21 February, 4pm-5pm
- 20 March, 4pm-5pm
School years 7-11 (1.5hr session)
- 15 November, 4pm-5.30pm
- 13 December, 4pm-5.30pm
- 10 January, 4pm-5.30pm
- 7 February, 4pm-5.30pm
- 6 March, 4pm-5.30pm
All of the above are stand alone sessions, so you can choose to attend just one session, or as many as you would like. They will take place at the Hospice in Brentry. The address is St Peter’s Hospice, Charlton Road, Bristol BS10 6NL.
Young people need to be able to attend the group without their accompanying adult, but adults are required to stay on site during the sessions. We will be providing a separate space with refreshments for anyone who would prefer a quieter space with one of our team.
Our coffee shop will also remain open until 4.30pm for refreshments.
