When Someone Has Died

When Someone Has Died

Approaching death is different for every individual and can be a very stressful time for families and carers. However there are often physical and emotional changes which may indicate that life may be coming to an end. It is important to know there is support and advice at this time from your GP, District Nurse or St Peter's Hospice.

For some people, getting information about what to expect is important. It helps them to prepare and plan. Our Hospice leaflet What to expect in the last days of life may be useful to you. After the person has died, please phone either the patient's GP, district nursing team or our clinical advice line on 0117 915 9430 for guidance as to the next steps.
