Tony Russell

1949 - 2018

Tony was the most loving and caring person you could wish to meet. His enthusiasm and zest for life was irrepressible and that is how I hope he will be remembered.

Tony was a man of strong feelings and intense passions. His beloved cars, whether modern or classic were so important to him and gave him so much pleasure. Having to cancel no less than three classic car rallies planned for this Spring has been particularly hard. But Tony could be equally excited about the smallest things in life. Just going shopping and having a coffee and cake could make his day and so time spent with him was never boring.
Tony never lost his optimism even as his illness progressed and his life became increasingly restricted. He made the most of every minute and was remarkably brave through it all. The support of the St Peter's Community Team and the Inpatient Team has been invaluable over the past few months. Without them our lives would have been much harder and I thank them all on behalf of both of us.
I wish Tony and I could have had more then 11 years together - we had such a good life and so many plans. I will miss him always.

We've got a new look

You may notice that our website has a new look. Research carried out last year revealed there were many barriers to people accessing our support, so our refreshed branding aims to help break down misconceptions about who we are and what we do.

This is part of a bigger piece of work for us - we're aiming to double the number of people we support by 2030.
