Terms and Conditions

  1. These terms and conditions are the Raffle Rules and all entrants agree to be bound by these rules
  2. This raffle is being promoted by Jayne Clarke, Director of Income Generation on behalf of St Peter's Hospice, Charlton Road, Brentry, Bristol, BS10 6NL. Registered Charity No 269177
  3. This raffle is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number 4813 
  4. To enter the raffle, you must be a resident of Great Britain and aged 16 (sixteen) or over
  5. If a ticket is sold unknowingly to, on behalf of, or for a person under the age of 16 he/she will be exempt from the raffle and will forfeit his/her prize and the stake will be returned.
  6. The St Peter's Hospice Summer Raffle prize structure is clearly shown on raffle tickets, promotional material and on the website. There are six prizes of varying amounts
  7. Raffle tickets cost £1 each
  8. The maximum number of tickets per raffle is limited to 100. Should you wish to purchase more than 100 please contact the Fundraising Office
  9. All raffle entry sales are final and no refunds shall be made at any time. All entrants acknowledge that their payment of £1 per ticket to enter the raffle does not guarantee that they will win any prize
  10. Raffle tickets can be purchased through the St Peter's Hospice website or any of St Peter's Hospice shops. Please note, in line with Gambling Commission regulation, credit card payments will no longer be allowed to purchase gambling products remotely. This includes over the phone and online
  11. The closing date is midnight on Saturday 24th July. Any entries received after this date will be treated as a donation
  12. The draw for the prize will be made at the St Peter's Hospice Fundraising Office, Long Ashton, Bristol and is to be held on Wednesday 4th August. However, should circumstances beyond our control dictate, the draw may take place on another day. Players will be kept up to date on our webpages. You do not need to be present at the draw to win the raffle
  13. The draw will be conducted using a Random Number Generator that has been tested and approved by an independent, Gambling Commission approved, third party test house. The results of the draw are final
  14. Full payment for each ticket must be made in advance before the ticket can be entered into the draw. Only tickets for which full payment has been received in the form of cleared funds is eligible to win the prize.
  15. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received by St Peter's Hospice for whatever reason
  16. Where a cash prize is awarded, this will be made by cheque in the name of the entrant only
  17. The winners of the raffle prizes will be notified by phone. If we cannot reach a winner by phone, we will try email and/or letter where we hold the appropriate contact details
  18. If a prize is unclaimed after reasonable efforts have been made by St Peter's Hospice to contact the winner, then St Peter’s Hospice will be entitled to dispose of the prize as it thinks fit. Winners must verify their details, claim and cash their cheque within six months of the draw date, after which St Peter’s Hospice will treat the prize as a donation
  19. All entrants are solely responsible for providing St Peter's Hospice with their accurate and up-to-date contact details and St Peter's Hospice will be in no way liable for any failure or inability to contact any entrant due to any errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the contact details that the entrant has provided. In the event that an entrant changes their contact details, they will be solely responsible for advising St Peter's Hospice of the change. Where a person is reported to us as deceased, and they have already bought tickets in a forthcoming raffle, the ticket(s) will continue to be entered into the raffle unless we are instructed otherwise. Any winnings will be made payable to the 'Executor of'
  20. Winning numbers, and where possible first part of the postcode, are published on the St Peter's Hospice website and St Peter's Hospice social media channels
  21. St Peter's Hospice reserves the right to use the name and address of the winner and their photograph in any publicity unless notified otherwise. We will ask the winner to take part in promotional activity. If the winner agrees, the winner will be asked to complete and sign a St Peter's Hospice consent form
  22. St Peter's Hospice shall not be liable to the member for any loss or damage suffered or arising from:-
    • any delays or failures in any software or other systems used by St Peter's Hospice for the administration of the raffle
    • any delays or failures in the Banking system used by St Peter's Hospice or the member
    • any failure to enter a chance into the draw
    • any loss or delays in or theft of any communication sent by post or email
    • any event beyond the reasonable control of St Peter's Hospice
  23. Nothing within these terms and conditions shall create or should be construed as creating any form of contract between any entrant and St Peter's Hospice
  24. Any complaints relating to the raffle should be sent in writing to St Peter's Hospice giving full details of the complaint and supporting documentation
  25. St Peter's Hospice is committed to protecting your privacy. Data that is collected is used lawfully in accordance with Data Protection rules and legislation. Please see our Privacy Policy on our website for more information on how we use your data
  26. In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, the decision of St Peter's Hospice shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into
  27. St Peter's Hospice reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. If St Peter's Hospice does this, it will publish the amended rules on the St Peter's Hospice website
  28. St Peter's Hospice reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these rules
  29. St Peter's Hospice reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the raffle in whole or in part in St Peter's Hospice sole discretion
  30. This raffle is a form of gambling. St Peter’s Hospice promotes responsible gambling. For more information and advice about responsible gambling, please visit begambleaware.org.   31. Each entrant should retain a copy of these terms and conditions for their reference
  32. A copy of these rules may be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to St Peter's Hospice, 2nd Floor, Estune Business Park, Wild Country Lane, Long Ashton, Bristol BS41 9FH
  33. The Laws of England and Wales shall govern the interpretation and/or enforcement of these terms and conditions and St Peter's Hospice and all entrants hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts
