The Event
What days is the challenge running on?
The Walk Your Way challenge will start on Saturday 3rd October until Saturday 10th October, so you can choose the best date (and with the best weather forecast!) for you from that week. Or, if you’d prefer to walk another date that’s absolutely fine too.
What time should I start the walk?
Rather than walking through the night by yourself, this year we are challenging you to start your walk at sunrise or finish it at sunset so that you’re still seeing your local area in a different light. In October, this will roughly be at 7am and 6.30pm – but if you’d rather walk at another time of day that’s completely up to you!
What’s in the event pack?
Before the event week, we’ll post you this year’s Walk Your Way t-shirt, some glitter, and a new finishline prize too!
What do I do after I’ve completed the walk?
Take a triumphant selfie at the finishline and make sure to share it on our Facebook event page, we’d love to see your photos from the walk! Send us a message to let us know how it went, and update your JustGiving page to let your supporters know that you’ve completed the challenge. Keep your t-shirt as a momento of the walk and use your finishing prize with pride.
I signed up before the event was changed, can I get a refund?
We would love to see as many people as possible taking part in the Walk Your Way challenge across Bristol and beyond! While our normal fundraising activities are on hold, the funds raised from the challenge will make such a difference. However if you’re not able to walk with us this year, you can also defer to 2021’s event, or if you’d prefer to cancel we can either refund your entry fee or change it to a donation.
Get in touch with us on themidnightwalk@stpetershospice.org to let us know what you’d like to do.
