Communication Skills in Supportive and End of Life Care

Working in conjunction with the University of the West of England, our modules are constantly developing to incorporate current thinking about caring for people experiencing life limiting illnesses. They are delivered in a way that values  practitioners' existing skills.

The modules are attended by a range of health and social care professionals, including nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and social workers, and are available at Level 3 and Masters. They are held at St Peter’s Hospice in Brentry.

This well established and highly regarded module aims to support health and social care professionals with the challenges associated with communicating with seriously ill individuals and their families.

A supportive learning environment is used to enable the development and practice of core skills and relevant theory is used to underpin the module.
