Learning and Development

Our Commitment to Learning and Development

At St Peter's Hospice, we have always had a strong commitment to learning and development - both for our own staff and for people providing end of life care in other settings.

Caring for patients with life limiting illnesses can pose many challenges for practitioners. We believe it is important to equip people with knowledge and skills so that they can care with confidence.

For over 30 years, our Learning and Development department has been a well-respected centre for palliative care education. It is recognised locally and regionally for its expertise in providing education that is current and aimed at developing best clinical practice.

Our Learning and Development department offers a range of learning opportunities, from study days to tailor-made courses. Find out more and meet our team below.

We recently welcomed two student paramedics, Drew and Rowena, to spend time learning about the care we give to patients and their families. Paramedics Drew and Rowena learn about Hospice care
