Where your money goes

With your help, we are providing specialist care for even more patients every year. Here’s an insight into where your money went in the last year.

In 2010/11 we received almost £6 million from donations, legacies and grant funding. 25% of this came from gifts left to us in Wills. Of every £1 you donated to St Peter’s Hospice 79p went directly on funding care for local people. We also received net income from our shops of just under £2 million (including Gift Aid).

Your donations helped to:

• More than double the amount of patients we were able to care for at home through our Hospice at Home team;
• Hire two new Community Nurse Specialists;
• Support an additional 196 patients throughout the year.

St Peter’s Hospice relies hugely on supporters like you to keep our services running every year. Last year we received only 27% of our funds through statutory funding – which means that every penny you send in really counts. Thank you so much for your support.
