Day Hospice Service
- Professional advice and
practical help to enable the patient to lead a life as full and independent
as possible and receive a regular review by specialist staff of their
illness and symptoms
- The opportunity to meet other
people with similar experiences in a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere
- Transport can be provided
through our volunteer driver service as long as mobility can be aided by
walking frames or sticks. Additional help can be discussed
- A full range of activities
- Treatment from our
complementary therapist
- Visiting entertainers,
hairdresser or beautician
- Organised trips
- Nursing team always on hand
- Specialist Doctor visits daily
- Chaplain, Physiotherapist and
Occupational Therapist visits can be arranged by appointment
Patients can be referred by
their:
- Family Doctor
- District Nurse
- Health visitor
- Hospital Specialist
