TV celebrity Alex Lovell and
St Peter’s Hospice are appealing to the local community to support this
year's A Walk to Remember.
It is
being held at Ashton Court Estate
on Sunday October 7th 2007 at 11.00am. The route will take approximately 2
hours to complete.
This magnificent country park has been chosen for it's
breathtaking views over the city of Bristol, making it an ideal location for
an enjoyable family walk.
Alex
who presents the BBC’s Points West programme says, “I’m urging local people
to step out for Bristol’s hospice. St Peter’s cares for hundreds of people
from our community every year free of charge. This walk is a really great
way to remember a loved one and give something back to the hospice.”
The sponsored walk will start at the Long Ashton entrance to the Estate.
It will take you past the grand Mansion House itself, past both red and
fallow deer grazing in the meadows and through elegant woodlands too. Don't
forget to look out for the mystical woodland characters as stroll
along!
There will be live entertainment and refreshments will be available, for
what promises to be a fun event for all of the family.
